Anand Bhavan is a large mansion in Allahabad. Constructed by Motilal Nehru, it has served to be the ancestral home of Nehru-Gandhi family.
Indira Gandhi was born here. However this was donated to Govt. of India on 1970 by her. Today it has been converted into a memorial and museum stacked with huge number of books and memorabilia of her father and grandfather. One can get a glimpse of lifestyle of the family since most of the belongings are retained.
