Tippu's Summer Palace

Close to Krishnarajendra market stands this beautiful summer palace of Tippu. One of the must see places if you reside in Bangalore.

The entire palace is built of teak wood, stone and plaster, laid on a stone plinth. It is a two storied building, upper chambers and balconies can be accessed by four staircases.

The central part is a hall where affairs of State was conducted.

Ragigudda Sri Prasanna Anjaneyaswamy Temple

One of the beautiful temples in Bangalore located at 9th Block Jayanagar. It is believed that a big heap of Ragi millet turned out to become a stone , hence the name Ragigudda.

Though the temple is dedicated to Hanuman, this also hosts Shivaling, Rama, Lakshmana, Seeta along with small temples for Lord Ganesha, Navagrahas, Rajarajeshwari at the base of the hillock.

Ennegayi curry

Learnt one of the authentic dishes of Karnataka, Ennegayi curry.

Here are the ingredients:
Make a slice without completely cutting the brinjal.

Filling:
Mix the ingredients using tamarind paste and little water.

Cooking:

Cooker hardly needs a whistle to cook.

And your Ennegayi is ready to be served.

Here we meet again

It was so nice visiting two of my friends not outside unlike every time, but at home of one of those two. Missed one this time.

Lovely food prepared by her, chit chat, and roaming around in 4th block. A day to cherish like always.

Bangalore Palace

Though residing in Bangalore for nearly ten years, never had time to visit such a beautiful palace.We were bit late, but managed to get in and spent enough time going through every detail.

Built in 1887 by Wodeyar Dynasty, mostly of wood has beautiful carvings and paintings inside.

Audio guide brings back the palace to life with details of each and everything.

Exhibition and workshop at Venkatappa Art Gallery

Attended a workshop " Understanding Art" by Shivanand Basavanthappa at Venkatappa Art Gallery, Bengaluru.

On display were the paintings by about 25 artists. It was nice to hear explanation of each art by the show curator Usha, an artist herself.

Such exhibitions really inspire one to bring out the artist within.
