Invictus

A very inspiring movie based on John Carlin's book 'Playing the enemy'. It was just a co-incidence that i watched this movie on Nelson Mandela's 92nd birthday.
Directed by Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman plays the role of Nelson Mandela and Matt Damon as Francois Pienaar, the captain of South African Springboks rugby team.
Nelson Mandela, soon after being elected as the President, marking the end of apartheid, tries to unite the country taking rugby as the vehicle to change, joining hands with the Captain of its team.
South Africa finally wins the 1995 World cup against the mighty New Zealand.
The movie ends with the words of the poem that kept his spirits up while he was imprisoned "I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul".

One memorable evening, Jane manages to shuttle between wedding reception in Manhattan and Brooklyn, a feat witnessed by Kevin(James Marsden), a newspaper reporter who realizes that a story about this wedding junkie is his ticket off the newspapers bridal beat.

All the King's Men

Have started watching the series of Oscar winner collection(1949-1955)
All The King's Men(1949) is the story of the rise of politician Willie Stark(played by Broderick Crawford) from a rural county seat to the spotlight. Along the way, he loses his initial innocence, and becomes just as corrupt as those who he assaulted before for this characteristic.
Based on the life of Huey Long (1893 - 1935), this is a gripping tale about a populist demagogue in a Southern state during the first third of the 20th century.
The movie has won 3 oscars, for the Best actor in a Leading role, Best actress in a supporting role and Best picture.
